Uranus: The Sun A Distant Star

Uranus held halfway above the plain
By tidal forces locked, it never strays
From sight, suspended in the air it stays,
Its phosphorescent flush will never wane.
To brighten up this world, the stars do feign
Illuminate our outpost with their blaze.
But flames and flares and fires cannot graze
The dark and all their burnings die in vain.

Upon this distant, hiding moon we stand,
Titania is its name, the fairy queen.
We search the sky to locate where we are.
Away on this frontier, this antique land,
The fire of home, of Earth, is scantly seen,
For here the Sun is just another star.
