At
the
start
we
took the
elevator
up to
level 1
and had
a piquant
breakfast
at the famous
brasserie: tea
and croissants for
my wife. I had black
coffee, no sugar and
a tartine, finishing with
fresh orange juice. Then
we took the stairs
climbing up to the
the next level – 2!
Three hundred steps, and by the
time we got to that level, we were
ready for further refreshments, but the
Jules Verne is a full restaurant, and so much
money for a full a la carte meal.
So we enjoyed a view of Paris,
then found our way to the lifts.
Wikipedia says the Eiffel Tower
is 906 feet high at the summit,
but Monsieur Eiffel would never have
agreed! France is the home of the metre.
