Note on: Venus: The Falling Of Eternal Rains

Again, no problems maintaining momentum with this poem. Rhyme and rhythm all came through.

On editing, I did swap out a fair number of words. Some were tired, some too generic. Others I changed to improve the way the poem read, others to add extra alliteration. I think all the changes make it stronger.

Colonies on Venus? Given the surface temperature, atmospheric composition and pressure I can't see it any foreseeable time frame. First we have to manage our own, relatively ideal planet. Colonies of the moon are "relatively" simple, Mars much harder and further off. Venus I put in a similar basket as travelling to the stars - fun to write about, but practical engineering gets in the way. All of the Venus probes we've launched so far have lasted about 50 minutes before being crushed by atmospheric pressure.
