Just a little bit of fun - a concrete poem! Or technically a wrought iron lattice poem. The very bad pun argues between imperial and metric measurements, with the word "feet" appearing in one "foot" of the tower while "metre" appears in the other "foot".
I ran a contest on concrete poems on AllPoetry after I posted an old one of mine (A Tomb For Cheops). I thought I'd see if I could do a second. The hardest thing to do on my own site here, using WordPress, was to maintain the same spacing - the font is slightly different.
Sadly, Juliet will not be with me if I visit the Eiffel Tower.I have a picture of her sitting on the steps in the plaza, with the tower in the background, dated 18 July 1978. (8 month before I met her and almost exactly a year before the day I knew I wanted to marry her) - but we can't visit together and call it a pre- anniversary!
