Note on: Photos of Juliet (5)

Fifth in a series of sonnets written for Juliet. Based on a previous contest poem (Juliet (2)) that was word-limited, so only had ten lines. I saw that another verse would make it a sonnet, and expanded the couplet from iambic terameter to hexameter to match the other 4. In many ways, this was where we began as a couple, although we had met as part of a group 2 months earlier. We were almost inseperable that weekend, and after we danced, we spent close to 6 hours talking, wrapped up in each others arms in front of a fire. We celebrated that anniversary each year, even spending the corresponding weekend in Katoomba in 2016, the 37th anniversary, and having lunch in the newly renovated hotel, in spite of Juliet needing me to push her wheelchair for any significant distance.

English sonnets linked through the couplet, this one rhymed ABBA. Quatrains in iambic pentameter, couplets in iambic hexameter
