Note on: Photos of Juliet (3)

Third in a series of sonnets written for my wife Juliet. This one was taken only a few days before her last major operation, and six months before she died. As always, she looked remarkably happy in the face of what would frighten many others. I have this photo as the background, so I can see that smile regularly. I can't take credit for this photo, I wasn't even there at the time. It's just a selfie she took - and I would have been there that day, either at lunch time or in the evening visiting with Chris. And I am confident in the fact that I was at least a significant reason for that smile.

English sonnets linked through the couplet, this one rhymed ABBA. Quatrains in iambic pentameter, couplets in iambic hexameter.
