This strange image was created by Rizwan Rasool. The poem was written for a contest: "Double Limerick to Pic" by Paulbrot. We had to name the character and his occupation. I chose to make him an apprentice to Sir Lancelot back in the time of King Arthur, and this double limerick won the gold medal. And it got me thinking of all the books about King Arthur I have in my library, and that perhaps I could emulate Sir Thomas Mallory's famous book and write a complete History in limerick form. You'll come upon Frankie again, including this original modified to flesh him out a bit and resurrect him from his untimely end.
