Another parody of "The Sound of Music" by Rodgers & Hammerstein - In this case "Climb Every Mountain". A couple of hours ago, I was singing "Rhyme every ....." with an unknown two-syllable word to come, and just had to write this.
At S3L2, I had something about being "free verse" to rhyme with "terse" (or it could have been "worse") but that made the rhyme scheming lines seem a bit strange. As I like enjambment, I enjambed that line instead.
In S2L3, if you think "hoary chestnuts" is a cliché, that's the point. I tried very hard to turn my non-clichéd phrase into one with the correct rhythm.
