I ask what point there can be to my life,
for once she made our lives together soar,
while now I am weighed down and grieve my wife.
Her heart required she undergo the knife,
and when I saw the suffering she bore,
I ask what point there can be to my life.
Recovery was slow, with problems rife
But we looked t’wards the time we’d shared before,
While now I am weighed down and grieve my wife.
One breath, and then I saw my path jackknife
One breath she took, and then she breathed no more:
I ask what point there can be to my life.
So now, my rudder’s torn, my heart’s in strife.
All confidence is shattered to the core
while now I am weighed down and grieve my wife.
I pray that she has found some afterlife,
for I am left on some uncharted shore.
I ask what point there can be to my life
while now I am weighed down and grieve my wife.
