Humour

I joined AllPoetry.com in August 2023. It’s site that has literally thousands of poets who are involved, and within it are various groups of like minded people. I find a group called constructive criticism particular helpful, with people who want to hone there craft. But you can communicate with anyone. One of the things we do is run contests, and often they result in “funny” poems, although you may need guidance to get the joke. So here is the place you’ll find poems that are a bit less serious.

How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tail
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!

How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in
With gently smiling jaws!

(from "Alice In Wonderland"
by Lewis Carroll)
