Dance In The Sunlight

Dance, my love, in sunlight,
Scattering your smiles forever
Rainbow-wise around you,
Gathering your dreams together
In celebration of the two
That in us join as one tonight.

Dance, my love, in shadows,
And shatter them with brightness
That only you can bring.
Laugh, and turn my darkness
Into light; smile, and speak, and sing,
And watch the way my joy for you grows.

Dance, my love, in sunlight,
And let me try and tell you in a song
Or in some other, clearer way,
Echo back that you belong,
And try and dance with you today,
To tell you how you’ve made my world so right.

No matter how I search for something new,
My mind keeps running back to “I love you.”
