Do you know of Bran the Blessed?
It is said his head was buried
underneath the Tower of London.
Arthur dug him up and took him,
England held by strength, the Mighty
Isle of Bran now long forgotten.
Raven lost to once great Britain,
giants haunt their land in mourning,
final war now lost to Annwn.
Kata Tjuta, in the desert,
thirty-six such heads lie hidden
down the track where Uluru rests.
Forty hot degrees this morning,
forty minutes into daylight
flies deny your laboured breathing,
walk up sacred Waḻpa Gorge, a
windy refuge, grove of spearwood
bless those who will climb the gravel.
Secret business place: Men only,
hidden here in ancient dreaming,
thirty thousand years a-sleeping.
Aṉangu give graceful welcome
on the land by strangers stolen.
Far more ravens in this desert.
